Graphic Design

These rates are totally independent of the number of CDs being made.

Please note that these are basic costs that include layout, scanning of images, minimal digital alteration and/or restoration, and moderate changes. Price will increase with logo design, original artwork (that we create), extreme photo/artwork restoration and/or alteration, and numerous changes. The following prices are based on the exclusive use of the design with Recording Lair products. Under no circumstances will any source design materials be granted to the client, as Recording Lair retains the rights to all source materials created during the development of the final product.

If you request a design that becomes excessively complicated, you may be charged $55 an hour for extra time.

Additional Design Services:

	_Photo Touch-Ups:_	_$55.00 / hour_	_Used when parts of a photo need to be re-touched or enhanced.
	_Photo Restoration:_	_$55.00 / hour_	_Used when a photo's image quality is very poor.
	_Image Editing:_	_$55.00 / hour_	_Used when you request that an image be heavily altered.

Custom Graphics:

We can create custom graphics to suit your design needs. This includes things like logos, stylish banners, backgrounds, artistic text, etc. We bill these services out at $55 an hour. However, complex computer art is considered original artwork and will have tentative rates. Please call for more information.

If You Supply the Design:

If you already have a completed design project, we will be happy to use it. If you are supplying the design on disk, then you will only be billed for production costs and printing. However, if you request changes once we have received it, or additional formatting is required to make it compatible, then you will be charged for the extra time at $55 an hour.

If you already have film negatives made, then you will only be charged for printing. However, if changes are necessary so that new films must be made, then you will be charged for graphic design in addition to production costs and printing. Production Costs (Films):

Once a design has been completed, professional film negatives must be made from it before any printing can be done. All Recording Lair Cd packages include this.

Printing:

All printing is included with the cost of duplicating CDs. Posters and extra printed items do not apply.

Designs for Other Media:

In addition to CD panel design, we can create layouts for just about anything (Vinyls, Cassettes, Posters, etc.). Please call for more details and pricing information.

Additional Information:

Please have an idea of what you want before you call on us for our design services. Although we enjoy using our talent when given "total creative freedom," it definitely slows down the process and we risk going in a different direction than you.

We will not begin charging you for any work until we are positive you have fully communicated what you want in the design. Please be ready to answer several questions and possibly even come to the studio (if locale is convenient) to ensure you get exactly what you want.
